Expectations for Degree-Seeking Students

A specifically defined core curriculum has been developed for each degree. The courses may vary among degrees, but all are designed to prepare students for success in their chosen fields, both academically and in the workplace. The following expectations for students completing a degree at Colby Community College have been identified: 

• Demonstrate effective oral communication; 
• Communicate effectively in writing; 
• Apply critical thinking skills; 
• Integrate a variety of techniques for problem solving;
• Utilize technology relevant to field of study;
• Evaluate cultural awareness.
